1. CAPTAINS ROLE
- As the team captain you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of playing within the Pro One Football Leagues as set out below. It is the responsibility of the captain to be the primary contact for the team and all players involved.
- It is also the duty of the captain to ensure that all players are aware of the rules, by allowing a player to take part in a club’s match, the captain is confirming that a player has been shown these rules and that the player shall abide by them.
- It is also imperative that the captain forwards all information about your team to keep the player stats up to date, awards can not be given to any team if the information is not up to date.
2 TEAM REGISTRATION & ELIGIBILITY
- All new clubs shall be given a Team Registration form prior to the start of the season.
- The captain must ensure that he has completed this form and handed the sheet to a Pro One representative.
- Teams may enter more than one team providing they play in different leagues and that there is no chance of drawing themselves in knockout stages.
- Players can join your team at any point throughout a season.
- If a player wishes to transfer to another club, they must first resign from their first club and re-register for the new club using the above procedures.
On occasion a team may be short of players. They are permitted to ‘borrow’ an unregistered player if they have the agreement of the Pro One representative and the opposing team.
3. MATCH FEES
- The team match fee shall be determined by Pro One, this may change from time to time.
- The match fees are payable before the game commences.
- Teams can pay match fees in advance for the season and qualify for a discount, this must be done atleast 2 weeks before the season starts.
- If the full match fee is not received, Pro One shall implement the ‘No Pay – Automatic defeat’ procedure.
- To avoid the ‘No pay – automatic defeat’ procedure, the deadline to pay any outstanding match fee arrears on the following day after your match night.
- If a team is affected by the ‘No Pay – automatic’ procedure and they fail to pay any of the match fee arears they shall have any goals scored removed by the organisers and the result awarded to their opposition and they may be removed from the tournament.
- Any team that pay their match fee by cheque which is then declined by the bank, shall incur an additional £10 administration fee and the ‘No Pay – automatic defeat’ procedure implemented.
- If a team does not pay the match fee for any reason this shall be deemed as a match fee underpayment and the ‘No Pay – automatic defeat’ procedure implemented and they may be removed from the tournament.
- Failure to pay fees more than once shall be deemed a breach of competition rules and Pro One reserve the right to remove the team from that competition.
- The team captain is responsible for all team underpayments and match fee arrears.
- Any team that leaves or is removed from the competition with arrears owing will be liable for full payment and legal action will be taken to recover any arrears owed.
- Pro One reserve the right to withhold any trophies and or prize money from teams that have monies owing from debt accrued throughout any season(s).
4. ABSENT TEAMS & UNFULFILLED FIXTURES
- If a team is absent for a fixture the opposition shall be awarded the game. The match fee and an administration fee shall be charged to the absent team plus an administration fee.
- The administration fee is currently £5 ontop of your match fee.
- In order to give proper notice, a team must inform the Organisers of their forthcoming absence 2 days notice prior to your fixture, over the phone.
- Where a team is absent for 2 games or more, Pro One reserve the right to remove the team from the competition and fees will be due for the remaining fixtures up until you can be knocked out of the tournament.
- If your team has no opposition as they are absent, to claim the points you must have been available to play and have paid the relevant match fee, minus a £13.75 discount, If this is not the case than you shall be also deemed as absent and the result will be a 0-0 draw and the full fee is payable plus £5.00 admin fee.
- If a team is late by more than 5 minutes or do not have enough players and have failed to "borrow" a player, the game shall be awarded to their opposition and the relavent fees paid.
- The match fee is still payable via the team who was unable to fulfil the fixture due to absense and to claim the win the team present will pay the appropriate discounted fees, see above.
- Please note: cancellations will not be granted unless under legitimate circumstances, if you cant make your fixture and have not given proper notice Pro One will forefit your fixture and you will lose the game 4-0 by default, a match cancellation fee of £23.75 plus a £5.00 admin fee will still be payable and will be collected no later than the day after your fixture.
- Please note: Cancelling your games on a frequent basis will be viewed as a breach of Pro One Terms and conditions and will be regarded as self removing your team from the tournament and fees will apply.
- Any team which is disqualified or removed / leaves the tournamnet before season end shall forefit any pending trohpies / prize money acrued up the that point.
5. ABANDONED GAMES
- In all cases where Pro One is satisfied that a game has been abandoned through the fault of one of the teams, the match shall be awarded to their opponents.
- A maximum of 3 points may be deducted from the total gained by any club found responsible for causing the match to be abandoned as a result of the conduct of its players
- In the event of a game being abandoned through any other extreme cause not provided for above, such as bad behavior, verbal abuse and or violence then one point shall be awarded to each team.
- Pro One shall review all abandoned matches and in all cases where it is an advantage to the competition, Pro One shall be empowered to order the score at the time of the abandonment to be the result.
6. NUMBER OF PLAYERS
- The number of players must be a miniumum 7-side with unlimited "rolling" substitutes.
- The number of players allowed in your actual squad is unlimited.
Playing Rules
1. DURATION
- All matches consist of 2 halves, 25 minutes each way (from season 3).
- The half time interval shall be a maximum of 5 minute duration.
2. START OF PLAY & BREAKS IN PLAY
- At the beginning of the game the choice of ends is decided by the match official
- Play will be started by the referee by way of a drop ball in the centre.
- The game shall be started after a goal has been scored straight from the goalkeeper.
- After any other stoppage the game shall be re-started by the referee dropping the ball at the nearest point to where the play was suspended.
3. THROW INS, FREE KICKS & CORNERS
- If a ball crosses the side line, a throw in is awarded to the opposing team.
- To return the ball into play the player must deliver the ball as an overhead throw
- A foul throw shall be called and awarded to the opposition.
- If a ball crosses the goal line where it is not a goal, a corner kick is awarded or possession goes to the goalkeeper..
- The opposition must be a minimum of 1m from a throw in or free kick
- If a free kick is being taken, you may take the kick if the ball is rolling but the ball must not roll for more than one foot in length before being struck. Corner kicks must be taken from a dead ball position.
4. OFF SIDE, FREE KICKS & PENALTIES
- There are no offsides. Players may place themselves in any part of the playing area without any restriction, including the goal areas, goal hanging is not permitted.
- When a player is taking a free kick, the opposition must be a minimum distance of 1 Yrd from the ball until it is in play.
- All free kicks that happen outside the penalty area must be a minimum distance of 1 Yrd from the goal area, penalties will be awarded if a foul is comitted in the goal area.
5. SCORING
- A goal is scored when the whole ball crosses the goal line between the goal posts and under the cross bar.
- A goal cannot be scored directly from a throw in or carried/propelled over the line via use of the hand by a player of the attacking side.
6. GOAL AREAS
- There is no restriction on goal area play, any player can enter the goal area and play within it.
- The goalkeepers are allowed outside of their areas but can not handle the ball outside the area.
7. THE GOALKEEPERS
- The goalkeepers can not pick the ball up after a back-pass, although they can from a throw in or a header back to them.
- There is no restriction (within reason) on the amount of touches the keeper has in his area.
8. SUBSTITUTES
- There are no restrictions on the amount of subs used during a game but you must notify the ref when a sub is being made..
9. MISCONDUCT
- Pro One operates its competition under strict guidelines with regards to discipline and misconduct.
- If in the opinion of Pro One the conduct of any club or player brings the competition into disrepute, Pro One reserve the right to remove the player and or club from the tournament
- Pro One also reserve the right to prohibit the player or club from taking any further part in Pro One competitions.
- During a game the referee may send players off the pitch for a duration of 5 mins for desent and serious foul play and or misconduct, if the behaviour is repeated upon return the player will be removed from the game.
10. SLIDING TACKLES
- Please note: TWO FOOTED OR ROBUST sliding tackles are NOT allowed AND WILL BE DONE ENTIRELY AT PLAYERS OWN RISK, Pro One will NOT be liable for any injuries caused by sliding tackles.
- Dangerous sliding tackles or two footed tackles will not be tolerated and the player will be instantly removed from the pitch.
